1. Do I need a ticket to visit the gallery? 

Yes, everyone needs to purchase a ticket in advance of visiting the Uffizi Gallery.


2. Is there an age limit for visitors?

Yes, visitors need to be at least 7 years old to enter.

3. Can I buy tickets on the day of my visit?

No, tickets must be purchased in advance either online or through a travel agency.

4. Is there a discount for students or large groups? 

Yes, there is usually a discount for students aged 18-25 and  for disable persons.

5. Are guided tours available?

Yes, private and group tours are available and include skip-the-line access.

6. Are animals allowed in the gallery?

No, pets are not allowed in the gallery but service animals are welcome with prior approval from the management team


7. Can I visit the Uffizi Gallery without a reservation?

Yes, Booking is an optional point on holidays but its compulsory on Bank holidays. However, it's best to go in the morning or during lunchtime because it gets very busy during the afternoon and evening hours.

8. What are the opening hours?

The museum is open every day except Mondays: from 8 am until 6 pm (last entrance at 5:30 pm). From November 1 through March 31, the Uffizi is open from 8 am until 5:50 pm (last entrance at 5:30 pm). The ticket office closes at 5:15 pm (5 pm on Sundays). During winter holidays (December 21 - January 7), it closes an hour earlier than usual (4:15 pm)


9. How can I get to the Uffizi Gallery?

The Uffizi Gallery is located in the center of Florence, next to Piazza della Signoria. You can reach it on foot from the train station and Ponte Vecchio bridge. If you prefer to take public transportation, buses stop right in front of the museum and connect it with other parts of town.


10. How do I make a reservation for the Uffizi Gallery?

You can make a reservation for any tour of the Uffizi Gallery via its website. Simply click on the "Book Now" button on the homepage, select your preferred date and time, and then enter your name, email address and phone number. You'll receive an email confirming your booking at least 10 days before your visit.

11. What is the difference between a general admission ticket and a guided tour ticket?

The general admission ticket gives you access to all areas of the museum except for those that are closed or require special access (such as private rooms). The guided tour ticket includes entry to all areas of the museum and a guided tour through one gallery, which lasts approximately 90 minutes. If you want to see more than one gallery during your visit, you will need to purchase a second guided tour ticket at an additional cost of €3 per person.


12. What happens if it rains on my day of departure?

If it rains on your day of departure then there is no refund for tickets purchased via our website or over the phone; however vouchers can be exchanged until 6pm on any other day after purchase (subject to availability)

13. Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! Children under 10 years old are free when accompanied by an adult paying full admission price—and children under 18 are admitted free on Sundays and statutory holidays only when accompanied by an adult paying full admission price.


14. What if I have a reservation and I'm late?

Don't worry—if you're more than 15 minutes late, they'll hold your reservation (but you'll still have to pay.

15. Can I take photos?

Yes! But flash photography is not allowed in any part of the museum except for certain areas where it's specifically permitted.


16.  Is there a time limit to visit the Uffizi Gallery?

No, there is no time limit to your visit. However, we request that you observe a 30-minute break between each visit in order to allow other visitors to enjoy the museum.

17. Should I buy my tickets online before arriving at the Uffizi Gallery?

Yes! It is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets ahead of time to avoid waiting in long lines. You can reserve tickets online or by calling (phone number).

18. What kinds of tours are available at the Uffizi Gallery?

We offer guided tours in English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Portuguese and Italian on most days of the week (see calendar for details on availability). These tours take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and include both indoor and outdoor spaces within our museum complete.

19. Can I just walk around Florence and look at the artwork from outside? 

No, unfortunately you cannot do that at the Uffizi Gallery because it is a private museum. You will need to buy a ticket in order to enjoy all that it has to offer inside.
